FFL License VerificationBefore shipping a firearm, the buyer or their appointed dealer must mail a valid copy of their FFL license. The signature must be an original, (no copies or faxes) signed in blue or red ink. Firearms can only be shipped to the address specified on the license. This form is using the ATF FFL EZ-Check page to allow an FFL or other users to verify that a Federal Firearms License (FFL) is valid. Since most dealers will not send their FFL to a private citizen, he/she may ship a firearm to a dealer simply by checking our FFL on this form (print results for your records in lieu of signed FFL).
C&R Note: You must contact your local BATF office to verify a C&R license, as FFL eZ Check does not validate Type 03 licenses (Collectors of Curios and Relics). All attempts to check the validity of a Type 03 license will result in an error message, even though the license may be valid. Do not use this error message as reason to deny dealing with a Type 03 licensee. |
