At every Olympics you see a snow skiers with rifles on their backs, skiing across the country side. You wonder, how do they do it? It takes hard work, practice, commitment to excellence and the right equipment. Now you can own the same 22lr rifle some of the top Biathlon competitors use and you won't have to mortgage the house. The Izhmash Biathlon was designed to compete in the 50 meter Biathlon event. It has a unique bolt that utilizes a toggle action, so there is very little movement needed to re-chamber a round, no sight plane interference during bolt movement and the toggle action gives you the fastest cycle times of any rimfire bolt action.
